Services
Brain Waves Occupational Therapy offers comprehensive in-home and community-based pediatric therapy in San Luis Obispo County. I also offer telehealth services across the state of California. Our occupational therapy services are designed to help individuals of all ages develop the skills they need to thrive, including direct OT services, social skills groups, and home program development. We also provide initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and consultations for caregivers and other providers. Our team is dedicated to creating personalized therapy plans to support continuity of care and growth. Brain Waves currently accepts CenCal insurance or private payments.
*Please note that Brain Waves is currently NOT accepting new referrals for occupational therapy at this time, due to our substantial waitlist for initial evaluations. We hope to resume taking referrals at some point in the future so we can continue supporting our San Luis Obispo community!
Evaluation
Initial Evaluation
$400 with 30-minute parent conference to review the results
Comprehensive initial evaluation, designed to understand your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and needs. Includes a detailed summary and recommendations within a personalized therapy plan
Progress Report
$100
A report that analyzes growth from baseline measurements of goals recommended in the initial evaluation report. Progress Reports outside of recommended timelines are available upon request.
Re-Evaluation
$200
Measurement of current level of functioning with standardized assessment(s) to compare to baseline scores. Used to measure growth and/or for providing specific information to other professionals such as in the school. *Recommended every 12 months, or as needed
Assessment Testing & Reports
Price varies, based on needs.
Any additional scores from standardized testing with associated reports, as requested by the family.
Direct OT Services
Session with the client
$140 / therapeutic hour
Individualized therapeutic intervention tailored to your child’s needs alongside parent training and education.
Home Program Development
Prices vary, please reach out to discuss fees.
Home program resources for supporting continuity of care, is built into an individual’s OT program based on the needs of the individual and family. Additional home programming for resources, activities, or consultation outside of what is offered within a standard session will be discussed and billed on a case-by-case basis, as it relates to the family’s individual needs.
Consultation
$60 per 30-minute consultation block
Consultation with caregiver(s) and/or other providers via phone or Zoom call, scheduled for either 30 minutes ($60) or 1 hour ($120)
