Why Brain Waves

Brain Waves Occupational Therapy offers personalized, play-based OT services for children ages 0–10 in San Luis Obispo County. Whether your child needs a full evaluation or ongoing therapy, every service is built around their specific strengths and goals.

We accept CenCal insurance and private pay. Telehealth services are also available for families across California.

Holistic approach

We look at the whole child — sensory, behavioral, motor, and emotional development — and build a plan that supports every part of who they are.

Certified Specialist

Ellery holds a specialty certification in Ayres Sensory Integration and advanced ADHD rehabilitation. Ellery is trained in sensory integration and trauma-informed care.

Family-Centered Care

Every service includes parent education and collaboration so the growth your child makes in sessions carries into home, school, and daily life.

Evaluations

Understanding your child starts here. Our evaluations are designed to give a clear picture of your child's strengths, challenges, and goals — so we can build the right plan from day one.

  • Initial Evaluation — $400, includes a 30-minute parent conference
  • Re-Evaluation — $200, recommended every 12 months
  • Progress Report — $100
  • Assessment Testing & Reports — price varies based on needs

Direct OT Sessions

One-on-one therapy sessions built around what your child needs most. Every session is designed to feel like play — because that's how kids actually learn and grow.

  • $140 per therapeutic hour
  • Individualized intervention with parent training built in
  • In-home, community-based, and telehealth options available
  • CenCal insurance and private pay accepted

Not sure if direct services are the right fit yet? We offer flexible support options for families, caregivers, and other providers who want guidance without committing to a full therapy program.

  • 30-minute consultation — $60 (phone or Zoom)
  • 1-hour consultation — $120
